A trip to Kuopio

The Nipwitz crew spent a couple of days in Kuopio, Finland to film urban stuff. Our local friends had built us big-ass wallrides and drops to play with, which was awesome! Finland's hottest skier Matti Räty joined us there for the first time this season. He'll be a common face in the coming episodes!

The trip was totally worth the trouble and we ended up getting many good shots!

So the filming for the next episode is ON! We have plenty of snow everywhere which makes getting shots a little bit easier. For episode three we're shooting some jumps and powder, too but we'll still keep it original and creative.

Fresh snow!

Hello!

We got about 20cm(3/4 foot) of snow on monday night and we have been shredding powder since then. Some people claim that it's impossible to ski pow in Finland 'cause there's no mountains etc. but we decided to think different this winter! Here's a few pics to prove it.

We've had some bad luck, too; Aarni's Macbook broke and he has to purchase a new one tomorrow. But no worries, episode 2 is gonna be on the editing table from tomorrow on and online in no time!

We'll continue to take full advantage of the snow we've been blessed with!

Real winter temperatures

Our trip to Tampere was a great, but cold experience. (c Teemu Heljo)

This year, the winter is on real effect! Below -20C temperatures have been common since 1,5 months ago and the snow layer is already 20-40cm(about one foot) thick around here. That means it's the perfect time for all winter sport activities from cross-country skiing to jibbing wallrides!
